How To Boost
Online Sales by 100% Or More
Welcome,
No matter what the latest marketing secrets or
strategies are, there is always one thing you can
improve for dramatic results...
Your sales copy!
Imagine for a minute that your site's sales copy is
converting 1 out of every 100 visitors into customers.
That means your conversion rate is 1%.
Now imagine that you tweaked your sales copy by adding
a few benefits and some testimonials. Suddenly you go
from 1% to 2% for your conversion rate.
That might not seem like much, but do the math, that
doubles your sales!
---
To quickly figure out your conversion rate, just
use this formula:
(Sales / Unique Visitors) * 100 = Conversion Rate
---
Here are a few ways to boost your conversion rate:
Focus On Benefits
Visitors respond better if you tell them how your
product or service will benefit them.
Don't just tell them what your product does, tell them
how it will help them, or save them time, or make them
rich, etc.
Here is a feature of a car: "fuel efficient"
Here is the benefit: "saves you money on gas"
Tell the visitor what is in it for them if they buy
from you.
Testimonial Magic
Another great way to boost your conversion rate is to
include testimonials on your sales page.
If you don't have any, you just need to ask your
customers for them. If you have satisfied customers,
you should receive plenty of testimonials.
It can be as easy as including a customer comment card
with every sale. Then take positive comments and post
them on you website.
They shouldn't be the focus. Just scatter them
throughout your website to remind visitors that you can
provide a quality product or service.
Target Your Traffic
One of the biggest keys to your conversion rate is the
quality of your website traffic.
Imagine someone searching a search engine for "Chicago
law firm" versus someone searching for "law."
If you owned a law firm in Chicago, there is going to
be a much better chance that your website will convert
the first searcher rather than the second.
Naturally, the first searcher is interested in a law
firm in Chicago.
The second searcher however, could be looking for
anything related to law. Chances are they have no
interest in hiring a Chicago law firm, in fact they
probably don't even live near Chicago.
The point is, that there can be different degrees of
interest for your product depending on how interested
your traffic is before they visit your website.
This directly influences your conversion rate. The
more interested people who come to your site, the more
you will convert.
Scan It
Here is a tip that doesn't take much effort, but really
has a positive effect...
You should break up big blocks of text by bolding key
words, using bullets for key ideas, and using
subheadings.
Scan your webpage from top to bottom. You want to see
important ideas and key benefits pop out at you.
